HeatPumpConsulting.ca is a Canadian consultancy for one kind of client: an HVAC company deciding how far to go with heat pumps. We help owners decide whether to enter, which towns and homes to target, which equipment lines to launch, which programs to register for, how to quote, and how to plan the first year. We do not install, repair or sell anything, and our advice is business and marketing advice, not engineering, mechanical design, inspection or code-compliance services for any heating system.

Why a heat-pump consultancy exists

Heat pumps are the one product category where HVAC owners get pushed from every direction at once. Distributors want stock moved, governments announce rebates, homeowners arrive with questions, and competitors advertise savings. Very little of that pressure answers the owner's actual question: will this line make money for my company, with my crew, in my towns?

We built HeatPumpConsulting.ca to answer that question first and to say so plainly when the answer is "not yet." Every page on this site, from the services to the regional pages, is written from that angle.

The group behind us

HeatPumpConsulting.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, serving clients across Canada.

  • Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company. Under that umbrella sit HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca, with HVAC.Agency as the parent for this heat-pump site.
  • SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone) works on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration for Canadian businesses. Ali is its Founder & Managing Partner; strategic leadership comes from Sedighi.ca.
  • Our marketing parent is HVAC.Agency, which runs the HVAC-specific plans listed on our pricing page.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads HeatPumpConsulting.ca. His degree is an MBA in Technology Management. His 17+ years in digital marketing began in 2007 with ONE.ir, the full-service agency he founded. He now lives and works in Vancouver.

Before turning to heat-pump strategy, he started Conv.ca (conversion-rate optimisation) and MyAutomation.ca. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

In heating and cooling specifically, he has built 150+ live HVAC websites. His HVAC portfolio includes CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, Roma Heating & Cooling, HeatLand and CanroHeat.ca, among others. That background matters for heat pumps because entering a new product line is a marketing and operations problem as much as a technical one: you need the right pages, the right offer and the right numbers at the same time.

How we work

Four habits shape every engagement:

  1. Your numbers before our opinions. We start with your job history, margins and crew, not with national trends.
  2. Official sources, dated. Programs, regulators and statistics are linked to the official page and marked "as of" the date we checked. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out.
  3. Written answers. You get short written assessments and plans you can share with partners, managers or lenders.
  4. Clear limits. We do not give legal, licensing, engineering or financing advice. We link the regulators, summarise what they publish, and tell you who to ask.

We work in person or by video call, phone, text and email, which lets us serve companies in every province and territory on equal terms.

What we will not do for you

Some limits are worth stating plainly. We will not tell a homeowner whether they qualify for a rebate, we will not certify a technician, and we will not design a system or sign off on an installation. Those decisions belong to program administrators, certification bodies and your licensed staff. What we will do is help you see the business consequences of each decision, put numbers on them, and keep the plan honest when the market changes.

Our positioning, in one paragraph

We are a marketing and business advisory service for Canadian heating and cooling companies weighing heat pumps. We help them decide whether and how to sell heat pumps, and we plan the marketing and operations that follow. We are not an HVAC contractor, we do not install or repair equipment, and we never compete with our clients for jobs.
